THIS UPDATE AND PATCH IS RIDICULOUS AND DOES NOT WORK
I WANT COMPENSATION FOR THIS ABUSE OF MY TIME AND MY PAID SUBSCRIPTION
I have 3 days ago spent HOURS ( due to the ridiculous low upload speed of CCP Installer )
to install the CCP CLIENT on a TOTALLY CLEAN PC .
After spending hours waiting for the download to finsish everything worked incredibly FINE
NOW .. after downloading the Upgrade as directed NOTHING worked
THEN .. after using the REPAIR TOOL ... NOTHING WORKED
I then tried to RE-INSTALL the whole CCP CLIENT
It did NOT WORK
I then REMOVED everything i could find related to EVE on my Computer
again the normal DOWNLOAD of the CCP Client ( which I had used perfectly well 3 days ago on the same computer )
did NOT WORK !
I was referred to MANUAL DOWNLOAD .. downloading 3 files ... put them in the same directory
and then TRY to recieve the EVE CLIENT .
I do not know if it will work ... somehow i doubt it .. but lets see .
Whatever .. this is TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL !!!!
When i eventually get the EVE CLIENT I want FULL COMPENSATION for all the TIME spent on just trying to get In -game
for which I have paid approx 1 year in ADVANCE .
This is highly DISSATISFACTORY ... and resembles earlier ( UNPROFESSIONal ) times in my aquaintance with EVE ! |

The situation appears to get WORSE and WORSE
I have tried all methods of installig the update . This proved impossible
I then deinstalled all i could find Client related on my Computer ( because the fault messages told me somehow something EVE related was running on my PC ) and started the tedious timeconsuming process of re-installing a fresh Clien
Inittially this also did NOT WORK .. but some time during the night SUDDENLY .. a fresh install appeared to becom possible.. OK... so i started that
Around 10 oclock this morning it appeared that the download had succeeded
What happened
My computer crashed .. n asked me to REBOOT ( or remove a Boot disk..if such was present ... which was not the case
I then had to reboot ... spam the F8 .. choose from which Hardrive to install my operating system and at least suceeded in opening my computer
I will probably have to reconfigure my BIOS to remove WHATEVER the EVE CLIENT DOWNLOAD has made of changes on my Compute
Anyway .. I can now see .. that i have the Client in my computer :
Location : c:\programefiles\CCP\EVE ... and then a lot of different files in that directory ... amongst this a Launcher .. but NO repair too
I can also find the CLIENT in this location
c:\Users \ Appdata \ CCP\EVE\downloads ... which contains 2 files with a lot of descriptive characters ending with 1 of 2 and 2 of
BUT my CCP CLIENT still does not work
I find it almosty unbelievable that CCP thinks they can charge MONEY for such INCOMPETENCE
I have petitioned my problems ... but as usual ..any answer will take many days .. if not weeks to ariv
Having played for many years .. I seriously consider to STOP playing EVE
Not only does it take quite a lot of time i sensibly could use for other purposes and tasks ...in REAL LIFE
but the current WASTE of MY TIME and ENERGY really is making me QUESTION if i can afford to continu
to spend time on this game... REAL LIFE is SHORT
CCP is an abreviation of CROWD CONTROL PRODUCTIONS ... a name i find somwhat insulting but evt true
In old Rome the used " Bread n Plays" for 'Crowd control .. Eve online may not be much more than that
But when the CROWD in ROME became dissatisfied with " the Bread n Games " the KILLED the Emperor
... and it may be time to get back to REAL LIFE and not spend it on some kind of PHANTASY WORLD ... like EVE is . |

In the laest news regarding inability to download the new Update which i link here :

it is stated that some prolems should be caused by the ESET Antivirus programe and suggestions are forwarded to change the settings for that programe before trying to install working EVE programes
In this context i can INFORM that i 3 days ago RE-INSTALLED the full fresh EVE CLIENT on my Computer which had been totally cleaned .. with fresh installs of evrything incl operting systems etc. Also The ESET Antivirus programe was installed and running PRIOR to re-installing the EVE Client.
Everything went smooth and fine.. the Client was installed with NO PROBLEMS and EVE Online worked excellently ..better than ever ..on my computer .
I therefore have hard to believe the explanations forwarded in above EVE News ... and want better assurances from CCP before i do as directed ... especially as i have experience serious crashes of my PC after just 1 attempt of installing the update including changes to my BIOS LOgically ..aslo ... it cannot be just a fault or Conflict with the ESET Antivirus Programe BECAUSE an installation of the EVE CLIENT occured totally without problems BEFORE the current Crucible UPDATE
CCP needs to come forward with BETTER EXPLANATIONS before exposing individual customer computers to potentially destructive or malicious software ! |

I have concerns regarding the advice given in news and by CCP Navigator reagrding the ESET Programe and have posted them elsewhere in Forums
( as i do not believe what is said in this advice is the full truth ... because i have installed a full ( old ) EVE Client installation 3 days ago with the ESET Programe installed and running ... n this took place without ANY problems and EVE was running smoother than ever on MY Pc )
But i also have addititional question related to advice given by CCP Navigator :
" When you uninstall EVE Online, the folder containing the launcher is not deleted. GÇó When you uninstall EVE Online, the shortcut to the EVE Online Launcher is not removed from the Start Menu GÇó Launcher doesnGÇÖt always come to the front of the screen. GÇó If another process is running from the same directory as the EVE Launcher, non-English localizations of the EVE Launcher will inform the user that another "EVE Online Process" is running. This is still a valid error, but may relate to any such process (eg LogServer.exe, repair.exe, etc). "
I would like to get instructions to TOTALLY REMOVE ANYTHING EVE RELATED on my PC
ie : WHERE do i find these files ..and HOW do I delete them ..SAFELY

I think it is OBVIOUS to anyone by now that CCP has FAILED .... BIG TIME
What is adding insult to damage done is the LOFTY ARROGANCE blatantly displayed by CCP when failing to acknowledge or adress this BREAK DOWN of the whole game
The OBVIOUS ( and INTELLIGENT ) SOLUTION to solve issues would be :
To ROLL BACK THE CLIENT to the previous Version
and then do some more homework and testing on any new Versions ..BEFORE it will be release
It is for me incomprehensible that the Owners of EVE Online CCP do not realize that their game by now is close to its final demise having stolen endless hours from players who faithfully and enthusiastically
have been playing and supporting EVE ..for many years
And still there is NO REAL SOLUTION to the problems created by the new Update
and the various news bulletins dropping from CCP from time to time
.. now with that explanation ... then with another one . and then a third airy suggestion ... as well as all kinds of fancy " work-arounds " DOES NOT INSTILL CONFIDENCE
I for MY part will NOT do anymore attempts of installing the Client
BEFORE i have guaranties from CCP .. that it will work
... that it will not damage my compute
... that it is free of malicious softwar
In case THAT will not be forthcoming ... I will ask for my money back
... and start doings something else in my precious spare time |
